I recently just ordered Sunwarrior's Warrior Blend Raw Protein. I got the chocolate flavor and couldn't be more impressed. This protein packs a definate punch, it's gluten free, soy free and dairy free and a full serving has 15 grams of protein.
When it comes to making shakes, I'm not very creative. I like to keep it simple by adding a handful of spinach, ground flax seeds, a banana and almond milk.
A little different from Amy, I LOVE to cook. I am always trying different recipes and experimenting new things. I am not a vegetarian but I don't eat red meat. Even though I like the idea I don't think I will ever become a full vegan just for the fact it will be harder to sneak enough protein into my diet. I already have a hard time as it is! (do you?).
There is so much info out there about protein intake, what is the right amount, different sources that it gets overwhelming at times. According to all the books I had to read in school, an easy way to find your intake is 0.7-0.9g of protein x your body weight in kilograms (to find that just divide your weight by 2.2). It's a lot of protein if you think about!
Not too long ago my breakfast was a simple bowl of oatmeal with a little banana on top. Pretty healthy right? But where is the protein? Nowhere to be found... if I could only sneak some protein into breakfast I could be very close on my target intake.
And then, I found it!
Hello creaminess goodness with 15g of protein! Since then I became addicted to it, I have one every day! If not at breakfast, as a midnight snack when the sugar cravings attack. Comparing the greek yogurt to a regular yogurt with an average of 5g of protein, I would say the greek yogurt leaves the other ones in the dust! I usually pair it up with a whole wheat toast with almond butter and sliced bananas! But recently
I've been into this...
What do you do to sneak in some protein to your diet?
